On a Saturday Night

I never know what to do on the weekends. Tonight Mom is having dinner at Joan's and Laura is on a massive cleaning binge, so I'm not really sure what to dow ith myself. That seems to be happening a lot these days. I just don't want to do any of the things I typically like when faced with a time to do it. I don't wanna watch TV or a movie or a DVD. I don't want to read. I don't want to clean my room or fold my laundry. I don't want to DO any laundry.

Come to think of it my lack of interest in entertainment is due in large part to the fact that I haven't found any I like in recent years. There are very few movies I'm wild about or dying to see, very few TV shows, very few books and albums. I'm just bored with everything and by extension bored with life.

I wish I could play video games. My stupid computer won't let me download Flash because my stupid firewall forbids it. And I can't seem to disable to firewall long enough to install the player. I'm following all the instructions to the tee, but it's not working. Poor Gayle, I kept her up till five in the morning the other night talking and trying to help me with the problem. God bless her, she was a doll.

I have officially booked my room in Washington. April 8-11 I will be in DC. Other Mike is psyched. Now all I need is to get my hands on Clark who in typical fashion has not replied ot the email I sent him earlier in the week. I'm gonna have to call his ass. I hate calling him, mainly because he's always busy. But God damn it I WILL see him while I'm there. Can't go to DC without seeing Clark.

I've had the same feeling recently about "entertainment". I'm having more and more trouble finding movies or television shows that I find interesting. Though I have found some interesting books, I think some of my interest in books is different than yours.

As for Video Games, I consider myself a MASTER DORK in video/computer games. What type do you like to play? I've also got a gameboy pocket if you want it. It's transparent and small, but only plays classic gameboy games. If you want it I'll send it up to you. I don't use it anymore, as I got an upgrade. :)

If you're serious I'd be more than happy to take that gameboy off your hands. I have a penchant for classic video games, and it just so happens I have an unquenchable thirst for tetris and similar strategy games. But even if you don't have anything in that sort of vein I'm so damn bored I'll try anything!!!!

I am a MASTER DORK. Once again, what kind do you like? I've got an extra Game Boy Color that I could give you, or a Game Boy pocket if you prefer...hell, I could even give you a Sega Game Gear, since there's nothing I haven't beaten on it.

::scratches head:: Somewhere I have my old Playstation 1...and since I have a PS2 I could definitely part with it, plus a controller. One of the controllers I have doesn't have the analog sticks so it's useless to me.

OR - if you prefer - you could go old school like my coach, Fox-Bizzle, who refuses to play anything that's not on SNES. Take your pick. :p

I seem to have this curse where the people who care about me, try to steer me straight by pointing at all of the stupid things I do. I just dont know anymore. Everything I say is turned back and used against me. Can you stuff me in your suitcase and take me on vacation with you?! hehe. God I need it.
