C'mon C'mon
It's a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. And besides that, it's Earth Day which means the annual Earth Day Fair is up and running. It's pretty lame this year. It's confined to the Gizmo patio and looks more like carnival of clubs. I remember the first year we had the Earth Day Fair it was awesome!!! It was a big community event. People from town brought their kids out. It covered the entire South Lawn, there were banners, and chalkings, and there was that kick ass theater performance of the Lorax!!! There was face painting and activities, it was so much fun. The entire event has just kind of decomposed since then. It gets smaller and smaller with each passing year. It's sad.
But on the up side, I think I helped talk Heather into staying with the Laramie project. We talked about it over dinner and I told her I thought she was making a big mistake. She showed up at rehearsal last night, and we worked on blocking and I think that made her realize how much more she is to the show then just her few lines. Because we're all on stage the entire time, therefore we all have to be performing and creating atmosphere even when we aren't speaking. So she was ACTIVE the entire time we were rehearsing. I think that made a big difference.
And I think I'm gonna go see Deserters tonight. We found out last night that Laramie is gonna be using the Deserters set. Which is very cool because the stage is in the center of the room and the seats are all round it, so you have to play every side of the stage.
My room is a bloody mess. And I have no clean clothes. Maybe I'll try to tidy up today. And I need to start making up a birthday list. There's lots of stuff I want, I've just been too lazy to write it all down. :-p
Silly me.
